SBIHC has been in consultation with AMP Capital regarding the amended development application for the redevelopment of Macquarie Shopping Centre, which includes Macquarie Ice Rink. After several sessions with AMP Capital, we are pleased to announce that an amended DA has been lodged, and the DA includes a brand new Olympic-sized ice rink to be built, alongside a new food and retail precinct.
The DA is expected to be made available on the City of Ryde council's website, and a public exhibiton period will be also made available for local residents, stakeholders and the community to provide feedback. The SBIHC Club Committee welcomes this new facility and endorses the concept provided. Over the coming weeks and months, we encourage all Members to take a look at Development Application, the concept and public exhibition and provide feedback to the City of Ryde about the DA. If you are supportive of the new rink, we highly encourage you to submit feedback, this is the only way the council and AMP Capital know if the community are supportive of the concept. You can find more information by clicking here. We will let Members know when the DA becomes available online.
