The Sydney Bears Women's Team Played Against Newcastle on Sunday the 15th May up in Newcastle.
The Girls played a very good/tough game on the weekend against the strong Newcastle team. We didn't just let them have the puck, fighting for the puck right until the very end. We held Newcastle out for most of the game. Anytime they came down into our defensive zone we did our best to shut them down or we kept them out wide so they didn't have a direct shot at the net. The Bears only had two lines and were without our normal coach. All together we played a very good game, and by the end of the game everyone was exhausted. Danni Hogan played in goals and she was FANTASTIC!!!!
Parents of our team, the other team and players from the game after us, were reporting back to us that it was a very good game to watch.
We head to Canterbury this weekend Sunday 22nd May, to Battle against Canterbury. So far we our record against Canterbury is 1 win and 1 loss, so it should be a nail biter of a game.
