Sydney Bears Pee Wee Team

 

About Pee Wees

Pee Wees is the next age division up from Atoms in NSW Ice Hockey. Pee Wees is for children (boys and girls) aged 12 and 13 years as at 31st December each year. The Pee Wees play to non-contact no-slapshot rules.

Pee Wee-aged players have the opportunity to tryout for the NSW state team to participate in the Ginsberg National Tournament.  State team tryouts are announced on the IHNSW website. This year the Ginsberg will be held in Adelaide on 31st July – 3rd August 2008.

Training

Training will take place at Macquarie Ice Rink on Tuesday evenings from 5.30pm to 6.30pm during school term. The ice will be shared with the Atoms.

Draw

Ice Hockey NSW will issue a draw for the season.  The draw will be circulated to team members.  Contact your team manager to confirm game times.

Ice Hockey NSW may amend the draw during the season. Whilst every effort will be made by the Club, Coach and Team Manager to notify players, you should check www.nswicehockey.com.au periodically to verify game times.

There is an area on the website for team news.  Denis Woodward is our website content manager.   Coach, manager and/or parents may wish to email Denis with regular updates on their team. These might be regular game reports, photos, anecdotes etc.  Denis will organise for them to be inserted into the website.
