Welcome to the Sydney Bears Ice Hockey Club

Who are we?

The Sydney Bears Ice Hockey Club is a non-profit incorporated association. The Club Executive and game officials are all volunteers - you can volunteer too. Training is available.

The aims of the Club are to be competitive, to develop players of all ages, and promote the sport of ice hockey. Most importantly, players should have fun. The Club caters for both recreational players in the Junior and Senior Divisions, as well as promotes a Development League.

Learn to play

Even if you have never strapped on ice skates before, we are thrilled to see you come down to our development night, and have a go.  Who knows, you could be the next Nathan Walker, or Sidney Crosby!  Check out the D-League section for details.

Join a team

We run teams of all ages focusing on developing kids, and grown ups alike.  There are options for all age groups, including several skill levels for over 18's, and a dedicated womens team as well.  See player information section, and the teams section for more detail.

AIHL Affiliation

The Club has an affiliation with the AIHL Bears. The AIHL Bears are a semi-professional ice hockey team in the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL).
